The course explores the following subjects.
CORPORATE ART COLLECTIONS AND CORPORATE IDENTITY
According to a survey from the mid 1990′s, half of the Fortune 500 companies and another 2,000 companies in the USA and Europe were actively collecting art. The primary mission of Corporate Art collections is to reflect the company’s culture, identity, values and corporate citizenship. They also contribute to creating an inspiring work environment that fosters creativity and innovation.
They help to build customer and community relations and may be used as an alternative financial investment. This module will explore how corporate art collections have reflected corporate identities in different banking and industrial sectors, starting from the first corporate art collection in 1471 by the oldest Italian bank Monte Paschi di Siena.
